As the world's largest toy consumer market, total toy sales in the U.S. reached $28.6 billion in 2021! From January to April 2022, the U.S. toy market reached $6.3 billion in sales, with per capita spending of $11.17, up 7% year-over-year.
Germany
According to the German Toy Industry Association (DVSI), sales of toys in Germany increased 4% year-over-year in 2021, approaching the €4 billion mark. In comparison, in 2010, German toy sales were only 2.6 billion euros, a compound annual growth rate of 46% over 12 years.
France
According to the NPD Group, toy sales in France will increase by 3% in 2021 compared to 2020, breaking the €3.7 billion mark for the first time, with demand for toys recovering across all age groups.
Japan
Japan's domestic toy market will reach 894.6 billion yen in 2021, up 8.5% year-on-year, the highest in Japan's history since 2001.
