Xinyue chemical: all products of silicone increased by 10%

On April 11, the official website of Xinyue chemical announced to increase the prices of all silicone products worldwide by 10%. The implementation time: the shipment will begin in May 2022.

Xinyue said that the price increase was mainly due to the tight global supply and demand caused by the power restriction of raw metal silicon in China, the main producing area in the second half of last year. The supply and demand in the world was in a tight state, soaring to nearly six times the price before the outbreak of the epidemic. Even today, the price of silica gel remains more than twice that before the outbreak, while the price of metal silicon from other producing areas outside China is also more than three times that before the outbreak. The price of raw material methanol remains high, the price of manufacturing energy such as natural gas soars, and the global logistics is chaotic. The transportation cost rises sharply both in raw material procurement and product transportation. It is difficult to reduce these substantially increased cost pressures simply by reducing manufacturing costs and other measures, so Xinyue decided to implement price adjustment.
